Summer is on its way and with loosened lockdown it’s time to dress to impress and embrace everything the better weather provides a perfect backdrop for. So, as the high streets welcome back customers, the shops are flooded with brand new collections and Next is no exception.
Fresh for SS21, Next has delivered yet again with a fantastic children’s range. If your children have grown significantly throughout lockdown, then Next is the ideal one stop shop to restock your kids’ wardrobe. Next has always been great for a burst of colour and this season delivers on its usual vibrancy so we decided to take a better look and review some of the latest collections.

Looking to brighten the wardrobe up with a special outfit? Next has a fantastic range of vibrant, beautiful prints in an array of light, sustainable cotton fabrics that are free flowing to ensure they’re practical on warmer days.
Chic and charmingly stylish, Next continue to push the design boundaries with interesting cuts and styles, such as this Wrap Dress with stunning puffball 1/2 length sleeves and unique button detailing. With inspiration from the catwalk, Next retains an element of practicality to ensure the clothing is age appropriate but with a trendy flair. Likewise, this trendy Pink Printed Co-ord Set features a busy pastel design in a cute top and shorts combo. The top is loose and elasticated shorts feature a wider leg for easy movement and great air flow making it an ideal outfit for maximum comfort during the height of the summer.
Quick Fix
With the great British weather, we really do need to be prepared for rain or shine, and frequently on the same day! A great wardrobe staple is a hoodie to pop on whenever the need arises and Next has always offered a wide range of hoodies with the plain colours touted as our go-to for essential wear; however, it’s this adorable Rainbow Hoodie that caught our eye! A navy jumper bought to life with a snug hood, colourful embroidered ‘Rainbow’ emblazoned across the front and handy front pocket. The premium quality of this cotton-mix hoodie means it is super-soft and comfy that wears well in addition to looking good. We only wish they did an adults version!
Character
Is there a more prominent character than the mouse himself?! A great pick from Next’s licensed range is this Ecru Mickey T-Shirt that features an oversized classic sketch in a chunky white outline that really pops out from the black background. The everyday tee is made from a good quality mid-weight cotton that is really durable and holds its shape well meaning it can stand up to the test of any adventurous youngsters without worry.
The SS21 range of Next kids clothing is as exciting as the prospects for this summer. Fun and fresh, there’s something for newborn right up to 16 years. Designed to last, all the items we reviewed feature great quality with delicate tailoring alongside beautiful design. There’s a real element of playfulness and excitement for the season ahead and I get the feeling we’ll see a lot more coming from Next children’s range as we head into the summer.
