We all thought Chicco had hit their peak with the Next2Me crib and then came the Magic! Not stopping there, fresh for 2021 the range has added to the collection with the launch of the Next2Me Forever.
Stepping away from the baby side-sleeping crib slightly, as the name suggests, the Forever promotes extended use with a side-sleeping option that can be safely used from birth up to four years.
Don’t worry though, the crib won’t leave you hankering after any of it’s other models. It does everything that the Next2Me crib provides but has some new and exciting features for extended use beyond the newborn phase.
Providing three different configurations, the Forever can also be transformed into a standalone cot and a toddler bed.
So how do they do it?! Drawing on a brand new design, the careful crafting has been vigorously tested and approved for use post six months. This provides a fantastic option for parents and babies that have nailed the side-by-side sleep option and don’t yet want to move to a different setup.
This standalone crib mode is a great intermediary step if you’re concerned about changing the sleep setup too drastically. The surroundings themselves support familiarity, so whether that’s in your room or elsewhere, your baby can stay in the cot longer helping to support a transition when the time is right.
The cot itself is housed on four swivel wheels (and importantly a brake!) so that you can easily move it around the home when you are ready.
The third mode is as a toddler bed. Any time from 18 months, you can remove the side panel and legs to transform it into a decent toddler bed that easily lasts up to around 4 years of age meaning you don’t need to invest in any extras until they’re established with their sleep.
Another new revolutionary feature of the Chicco Next2Me Forever is the patented anti-misuse safety system. This is activated by the buckles used to attach the crib to the parents’ bed, and prevents the side panel from remaining lowered unless it is securely fastened in the correct position. It therefore also prevents the side panel from remaining lowered when in freestanding cot mode. Not only does this make it incredibly easy for parents to identify incorrect set-up, it also ensures maximum safety for baby.
As well as these game-changing new features, the Chicco Next2Me Forever includes all of the most-loved functions of the original side-sleeping cribs from Chicco. With foldable feet and 11 adjustable height settings, it can be attached to almost any bed. The crib also offers a tilt function to help ease reflux and aid digestion as little one sleeps. The mesh windows provide enhanced air flow and improved visibility, whilst the firm but comfortable transparent mattress is designed to keep the correct posture for baby during the night.
