Introducing Nala’s Baby

Rapper, broadcaster and entrepreneur Casyo ‘Krept’ Johnson and health and beauty influencer, Sasha Ellese Gilbert, have launched a brand new baby and child skincare brand called Nala’s Baby

The accessibly priced, naturally derived and inclusive range launches exclusively in over 400 Boots stores across the UK on 20th June 2022. It is the one of the first British made skincare range for babies to be sold on the high street with a perfect zero rating on Think Dirty, an app dedicated to finding harmful chemicals and risks in personal care products.

The new range, scientifically developed especially for newborns upwards, includes Body Wash & Shampoo, Bubble Bath, Conditioner, Body Lotion, Nighttime Oil and Body Butter. Using 99% naturally derived ingredients the range utilises oats, coconut, hibiscus, Vitamin E, camomile, shea, aloe and lavender alongside many others. All products are proudly dermatologist approved, paediatrician approved, cruelty free, vegan, eczema friendly, tear free, fully recyclable and made in Britain.

The creation of the brand started when Sasha was pregnant with her daughter, Nala. Growing concerned about the potential harm skincare could cause her baby, she downloaded the product rating app Think Dirty and began researching the best attainable zero-rated products. Once Nala was born, Sasha and Krept soon discovered that the construction of baby’s skin is different to that of adultleaving them prone to dryness and skin conditions, this coupled with Nala suffering from eczema when she was born lead to the concept of Nala’s Baby being cooked up in Sasha’s own kitchen.

Sasha Ellese Gilbert, Co-Founder and Director of Nala’s Baby, says: “Nala’s Baby has been a passion project since I fell pregnant with our daughter Nala. When shopping for skincare products I was shocked to see that so many baby brands hadn’t ever achieved a zero score on the ingredients rating platform, Think Dirty, meaning that they were potentially harmful to sensitive skin. I wanted our baby to have access to naturally derived, safe and effective products and sadly finding this on the high-street was impossible. I began creating creams and lotions for Nala at home and saw how effective they were. With the help of a trusted manufacturer and their expert chemists, and dermatologists and paediatricians we have created a skincare range that puts naturalness at its heart and caters for all skin types and ages. We’re so glad that soon Nala’s Baby can finally be shared with parents and their children across the UK and hope they love it as much as we do!”

Prices for products from the range start from £5.50 available from www.nalasbaby.com now and select Boots stores and www.boots.com from 20thJune.
