And don’t get us started on the bathrooms – almost on par size wise with the bedroom, it was an oasis of elegance. From sleek marble countertops to vintage fixtures to luxurious bath products, every element exudes a sense of refined comfort. The spacious walk-in showers and deep soaking free-standing tub provided the perfect setting to soak away the stresses of everyday life, enveloped in an ambiance of tranquillity.
Outside, each room has rocking chairs and table for you to take in the beautiful surroundings that felt a million miles away from a town centre. Early morning jetlag meant we caught a doe bouncing across the property one dawn, but the evenings in front of the open fire pit were more social with guests coming together over a glass of local Texan wine.
