Paultons Park

As the summer holidays roll around, parents everywhere begin the quest to find new and exciting ways to keep their kids entertained. Paultons Park, located on the edge of the picturesque New Forest in Hampshire, offers a fantastic solution. This family-friendly theme park is a treasure trove of fun, with something for everyone.

While Paultons Park is perhaps best known for Peppa Pig World – a vibrant area dedicated to the beloved children’s character – it has much more to offer. Over the years, the park has expanded and evolved, creating a diverse array of attractions that cater to all ages and interests. Covering over 140 acres, Paultons Park boasts five unique themed lands. In addition to Peppa Pig World, visitors can explore the prehistoric landscapes of the Lost Kingdom, encounter wildlife in Wild Lands, enjoy the quirky charm of Critter Creek, and experience the thrills of Tornado Springs, the park’s newest and most exciting addition.

Tornado Springs, opened in 2021, is a nostalgic nod to 1950s Midwestern Americana. This vibrant area is packed with thrilling rides and attractions. My family and I headed there first during our visit, eager to try out the much-talked-about Storm Chaser roller coaster. The ride did not disappoint, offering an exhilarating experience as we spun through the air. We also braved the Cyclonator, a giant arm that swings riders high above the park, providing breath-taking views and an adrenaline rush. Despite visiting on a sunny Sunday during the peak holiday season, we were pleasantly surprised by the short wait times, allowing us to enjoy the rides multiple times.

After our adventure in Tornado Springs, we made our way to the Lost Kingdom. This dinosaur-themed area is a delight for any young explorer, with its life-like animatronic dinosaurs and lush, prehistoric scenery. The highlight of this zone was Splash Lagoon, a newly opened flume ride that took us on a watery adventure through rapids and a thrilling drop into a lagoon. The ride was perfect for our family, offering just the right mix of excitement and fun. We also enjoyed the Flight of the Pterosaur, a suspended roller coaster that gave us the sensation of soaring through the skies.

Of course, no visit to Paultons Park would be complete without spending time in Peppa Pig World. This charming area, with over 15 themed rides and attractions, is a paradise for younger children. Our little ones were enchanted by the colourful settings and familiar characters, and it was heart-warming to see their faces light up with joy at the beloved show’s whimsical atmosphere.

What sets Paultons Park apart is not just its variety of attractions but also its thoughtful amenities. The beautifully landscaped gardens are stunning and so well maintained, offering a peaceful respite amidst the excitement.

There’s also plenty of picnic areas making it easy to relax and enjoy a meal, and the park’s commitment to family comfort is evident in small touches like child-sized toilet seats and free ride-on toys for younger guests.

This year, Paultons Park has also introduced a delightful new attraction, a family of ring-tailed lemurs in a specially designed enclosure. These sociable and curious creatures provide a fascinating glimpse into the animal world, adding another layer of interest to the park experience.

Having visited many theme parks, we can confidently say that Paultons Park ranks among the best, especially for families. It consistently receives top ratings on platforms like Google Reviews and Trustpilot, and it’s easy to see why. The combination of thrilling rides, enchanting themed areas, and family-friendly facilities makes it an ideal destination for a summer day out. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker or just looking for a place where the whole family can have fun, Paultons Park is a destination that guarantees memorable moments and smiles all around.
