Summer at Blenheim Palace

Looking for family days out in Oxfordshire this summer? Blenheim Palace has revealed a packed programme of new attractions, hands-on experiences and family savings to keep children entertained throughout the school holidays.

Running until 1 September, the UNESCO World Heritage Site is introducing several brand-new experiences alongside returning family favourites, making it an ideal destination for a summer day out.

One of the biggest additions is Marlborough Mini Farm, where children can meet rare native British breeds including Berkshire pigs, Cotswold sheep, English goats and Buff Orpington chickens. The farm gives young visitors the chance to get up close to animals while learning about conservation and the importance of protecting endangered livestock.

Adventure Play is also getting a fresh update with an all-new Pip and Posy Treehouse Mystery. Families can follow an interactive trail to help Pip find his missing toy before enjoying storytelling and imaginative play in the new treehouse. Alongside the new experience, children can still tackle zip lines, tunnels, climbing frames and water play.

Later in the summer, dinosaur fans are in for a treat as the Dinosaurs Are Forever exhibition arrives from 11 August. Featuring five life-sized Megalosaurus sculptures in the Palace gardens, the exhibition celebrates Oxfordshire’s place in dinosaur history and includes costumed Victorian guides to bring the prehistoric adventure to life.

Elsewhere, families can ride the miniature train to the Walled Garden, take on the famous Marlborough Maze, visit the Butterfly House and discover the fascinating world of bees inside the interactive Rowse Honey Hive. Weekend horse displays, historical demonstrations and family storytelling sessions will also run throughout the holidays.

To make summer visits even more appealing, Blenheim Palace is offering Great British Summer Savings, with reduced admission prices across ticket types and discounts on children’s meals.

The Palace & Gardens Ticket or Palace and Play Pass, priced from £21, includes unlimited entry for 12 months, giving families plenty of opportunities to return and enjoy seasonal events throughout the year.
